We forget
With vehement hands
And vilified tongues,
Parched throats,
What we once
Adamantly prayed for.
Begged ceaseless and
Would have been willing
To perish for,
When it comes to
Unattenuated existence.
Becomes another fatigued fable or
An accusatory coalition
Observed whole
Only through shunned binoculars,
Rendered into an ill-willed, quick
Reminiscence
That denotes the desirous as
Something to be repulsed of
With solid force
And as solid sedation
That ignore readily
The burden of livid moments
And souls
That scream, beseech,
Please…
I am begging you!
If you do this one thing...
But it is never one thing;
It was never a one thing to begin with.
